SME's and AECM : a bridge between your risk taking and our offer of guarantee
AECM was founded in 1992 and established under the Belgian Association Act (AECM is an International Non Profit Association - I.N.P.A.).
It operates as an open, democratic organisation, independent of any political or financial group.
AECM is now representing 34 companies or federations that operate as networks of guarantee societies in 18 countries of the European Economic Area.
According to the Association statutes, the main objectives are
- to represent the common interests of the members
- to consolidate and develop the role of Mutual Guarantees as a special instrument for enhancing SME's.
- to promote the harmonisation of the legal framework and to improve the financial operating conditions of the Garantee Societies.
- to foment the exchange of information between members
- to suggest ideas, proposals to the diverse parties involved in economic policies, including the European Union.
AECM works as a partner of the European Commission and is thankful to DG Enterprise for the support of its activities.
